Chronic Diarrhea
Diarrhea refers to loose and/or soft, watery stools. If you suffer from diarrhea for more than 4 weeks, this is classed as chronic diarrhea and you will usually need to see a gastroenterologist. They can do tests to establish the cause of your diarrhea and recommend the appropriate treatment.
Chronic diarrhea may be a sign of a bacterial infection in the bowel or an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
